Services > Pipeline cleaning and drying > Extra-dry air drying
Pipeline extra-dry air drying (at dew point) forms part of the services provided by ITP Service to eliminate any water in pipelines that may remain after the dewatering process and that may accumulate around the wall along the line.
To do that, a number of straight sealing disc pigs and foam pigs are propelled around the interior of the pipeline by extra-dry air on regular intervals. The aim is to achieve the degree of dryness required, measured as the dew point at atmospheric pressure.
Where pigging is not possible, we can dry pipelines through the use of large volumes of extra-dry air.
As an alternative to this drying process using extra-dry air, we at ITP Service also provide a pipeline humidity elimination service using mechanical methods.
